This position will assemble very small and intricate units composed of a variety of component parts with the use of a microscope. There is considerable adjusting, fitting, and aligning to very close tolerances and strict inspection standards which may involve filing, scraping, etc. Uses works instructions, drawings and/or specifications to complete tasks.
Days: Monday-Friday
Job Responsibilities:
- Count parts for spare kits and assemble repair kits per prints and instructions.
- Insert parts (contacts) into units (test sockets) using tweezers and other small tools.
- Sort and visually inspect parts. May participate in peer inspection checking of parts.
- Create and print labels; package finished product.
- May perform limited final Inspection under the direction of established Quality Assurance procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Job Qualifications:
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent hand-eye coordination with ability to work with very small mechanical parts
- Ability to work under a microscope for significant periods of time
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and work with print drawings
- Desire and willingness to learn
- Quality-minded with a focus on producing high quality work
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Possess a high level of detail orientation
- Highly motivated with a solid work ethic
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
Willingness to work overtime as required
