Overview

Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functional and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, and managing surgical tools with precision.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and uphold infection control standards throughout all surgical activities.
- Support patient care by providing comfort measures, explaining procedures when appropriate, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless surgical operations.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Surgical Technologist in hospital environments with OR experience preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and infection control practices essential for safe surgical assistance.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
