Connect Staffing is hiring Packers and Palletizers for a food production facility in Pittsburgh, PA 15238. In this role, you will work on a production line packing nutrition bars, protein bars, and baked snacks into boxes or cases, then stack and wrap finished pallets for shipment. Shifts are consistent and this is a long-term placement opportunity with a stable food production employer.

Responsibilities

Pack nutrition bars, protein bars, baked snacks, and similar food products into boxes, cases, or trays on a production line.

Stack packed boxes and cases onto pallets in an organized, safe manner.

Wrap completed pallets using stretch wrap or pallet wrapping equipment.

Inspect boxes, labels, and seals to confirm products are correct before palletizing.

Sort, remove, or report damaged products, open packages, or mislabeled items.

Keep the work area clean and follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food hygiene standards.
Minimum Requirements
-
6+ months of experience in packaging, palletizing, food production, warehouse, assembly, manufacturing, or similar hands-on physical work.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience working on a production or assembly line in a food manufacturing or food packaging environment.

Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or basic food safety and hygiene standards.

Experience packing, sorting, stacking, palletizing, wrapping, loading, unloading, labeling, inspecting, or moving products/materials in a workplace setting.

Experience working in a fast-paced production, warehouse, manufacturing, food production, packaging, assembly line, or general labor environment.

Experience wrapping pallets by hand or using pallet wrapping equipment.

Experience inspecting or quality-checking products, labels, or packaging for defects.

Ability to communicate in one or more of the workplace languages (Spanish, French, Swahili, Dari) in addition to English — bilingual employees able to translate are eligible for an additional $1/hr.

Ability to read and follow work instructions, production procedures, and safety guidelines.
