Be the Person Who Keeps Every Move on Track
At American Van Lines, we don't simply move furniture, we move families through one of the most important transitions of their lives.
We're looking for an Account Coordinator who thrives on organization, enjoys helping people, and takes pride in seeing things through from start to finish.
This isn't a traditional customer service position. It's an operations-focused role where you'll coordinate customers, drivers, agents, planning, dispatch, and sales to ensure every move is executed successfully. If you're the type of person who naturally follows up, keeps detailed notes, solves problems before they become crises, and refuses to let things fall through the cracks, you'll excel here.
What You'll Do
As an Account Coordinator, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers after they book their move. You'll be responsible for:
- Managing customer files from booking through delivery.
- Providing proactive communication throughout the moving process.
- Coordinating with drivers, agents, dispatch, and planning.
- Confirming schedules, equipment, labor, and special service requirements.
- Ensuring all paperwork is complete, accurate, and compliant.
- Documenting every customer interaction.
- Resolving issues quickly while keeping customers informed.
- Working with internal departments to ensure every move stays on schedule.
Every customer file is yours to own from beginning to end.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who naturally says: "I'll take care of it." You enjoy:
- Keeping things organized.
- Helping people.
- Following up until something is finished.
- Solving problems.
- Working with multiple departments.
- Communicating proactively.
- Creating structure in fast-paced environments.
You don't wait for problems, you prevent them.
You Will Thrive Here If You:
- Take ownership without being asked.
- Stay calm under pressure.
- Communicate clearly and professionally.
- Enjoy checking details and catching mistakes.
- Follow processes while knowing when to escalate.
- Believe great customer service is proactive not reactive.
- Hold yourself accountable for results.
Qualifications
- Customer service, logistics, transportation, dispatch, project coordination, or operations experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer systems.
- Experience in the household goods industry is a plus but not required.
Why Join American Van Lines? You'll become part of a team that believes:
- Accountability matters.
- Teamwork wins.
- Communication prevents problems.
- Customers deserve honesty and proactive service.
- Every employee has the ability to make someone's move less stressful.
If you're looking for a role where your organization, communication, and follow-through truly make a difference, we'd love to meet you.
