Dirks Heavy Contractors is looking for an experienced Concrete Foreman who knows how to lead a crew, read the job, and get quality concrete work done right.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who has the experience to take ownership of a concrete crew and keep the work moving safely, efficiently, and to specification.

What You'll Do
- Lead and direct concrete crews on commercial, municipal, and heavy civil projects.
- Plan and organize daily work to keep crews productive and projects on schedule.
- Read and interpret plans, blueprints, grades, elevations, and specifications.
- Lay out concrete work and ensure proper grades and elevations.
- Build and oversee curb and gutter forms and other concrete forming systems.
- Direct concrete placement, finishing, curing, and quality control.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and deliveries.
- Work closely with superintendents, project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and customers.
- Identify field issues and solve problems before they become schedule or quality issues.
- Train, develop, and hold crew members accountable for their work.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site.
- Lead by example with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced concrete professional—not simply someone who has held the title of foreman.
The right candidate will have:
- 3+ years of concrete construction experience, with significant crew-leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with curb forming and curb & gutter construction.
- Experience with commercial, municipal, DOT, or heavy civil concrete work.
- Ability to read construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of forming, grading, placement, finishing, and concrete construction practices.
- The ability to organize a crew and keep production moving.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A dependable work history and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CDL is a plus.
