Program Coordinator Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Program Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
TIME COMMITMENT: 20 hours per week (0.5 FTE)
SCHEDULE: Traditional daytime hours; days flexible, with a preference for Monday - Wednesday
REQUIRED TRAVEL: Approximately 10-20 miles/week (reimbursable)
PURPOSE: To coordinate the Grocery Shopping & Delivery Program - including the management of our volunteer base - available through Age Well Arrowhead to older adults in Duluth, Superior, and the surrounding communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the activities of the grocery program, including order taking, shopping, delivery, data input, client enrollment, and volunteer management
- Recruit volunteers, and provide supervision and training, to meet the needs of the program and allow for program expansion
- Serve as the liaison between Age Well Arrowhead and grocery stores
- Provide a high level of customer support to clients, volunteers, and colleagues
- Monitor all client accounts and take collection actions, when necessary
- Participate in strategic planning activities to improve processes and support program growth
- Communicate program updates/changes to clients, volunteers, staff, and grocery store staff
- Represent the organization at community events that focus on volunteerism and the program
- Report on program activities for supervisors, funders, and the Board of Directors
- Provide weekly activity reports for billing purposes
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or four years of experience in a professional work setting;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and interdependently
- Follow confidentiality guidelines as outlined by the organization
- Basic computer skills to be used for tracking, recordkeeping, reporting, and communication
- Ability to solve problems and provide excellent customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to articulate and support Age Well Arrowhead’s mission and vision
- Able to work on-site at Age Well Arrowhead’s downtown Duluth office
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience working with older adults, including those with dementia or Alzheimer’s
- Customer service experience
- Volunteer management experience
PAY AND BENEFITS:
- $23.00/hour
