Rex at the Royal is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and making recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Operate the Aloha POS system for processing orders and payments efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and garnishes, and assist with restocking as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Stay updated on drink trends and menu changes to provide informed recommendations to guests.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience in a restaurant, nightclub, or fine dining setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy atmosphere while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be of legal drinking age as per state regulations.
