What You’ll Do
As a Supervisor Clinical (RN), you will report to the Practice Manager of the respective site within BMG. In collaboration with the Practice Manager, is responsible for the effective coordination of all daily operational support functions of the assigned facility and performs duties necessary to maintain a smooth functioning and efficient physician office. Responds to daily operational issues when the Practice Manager is absent or unavailable.
Supervisor Clinical (RN) Job Responsibilities:
- Supports daily physician practice operations, including oversight of nursing, laboratory, and radiology functions to ensure quality patient care and adequate staffing coverage.
- Assists with staff recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, employee relations, and leadership development initiatives.
- Maintains efficient office operations through budgeting support, expense management, vendor coordination, inventory control, purchasing, and facility maintenance oversight.
- Ensures accurate charge posting, coding, billing documentation, daily deposits, and revenue cycle processes to support financial performance.
- Responds to patient and physician concerns, resolves service issues, and promotes a high level of customer satisfaction and communication.
- Collaborates with leadership on operational planning, marketing efforts, quality improvement initiatives, and physician relations activities.
- Supports practice information systems, including appointment scheduling, technology enhancements, and implementation of system updates.
- Maintains compliance with organizational policies and procedures, manages required records and reports, and contributes to continuous process improvement.
What You Bring
As a Supervisor Clinical (RN), this position requires a comprehensive working knowledge of general medical office methods, practices, procedures, and medical record filing systems, as well as an understanding of third-party reimbursement processes and requirements, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance carriers. The position also requires proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and the application of established and specialized technical coding processes. Strong computer skills, including data entry, word processing, spreadsheets, and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), are essential. Additionally, the role demands strong leadership abilities to gain the cooperation and support of staff and physicians, along with the organizational and analytical skills necessary to assess situations, resolve problems in a timely manner, and effectively manage day-to-day operational challenges. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact successfully with a diverse group of individuals and provide clear, effective explanations. A commitment to continuous professional growth is also important, including a strong interest in developing leadership capabilities and actively participating in management development activities
Required Qualifications
- The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing is required; advanced clinical or business education is preferred.
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Indiana is required.
- A minimum of three years of related healthcare experience is required.
- Requires a minimum of three years of supervisory/management experience, and three years of experience working in a physician practice(healthcare) is required.
- Proficiency with coding systems such as ICD-9-CD, CPT-4 (HCPCS) was attained, is required.
