Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to resolve issues efficiently.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to maintain proper climate control throughout the property.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to carry out repairs on building interiors, furniture, fixtures, and facilities infrastructure.
- Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, and ensuring proper operation of plumbing systems.
- Oversee facilities maintenance tasks such as painting (including residential painting), drywall repair, and general building interior upkeep.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects while ensuring safety standards are met.
- Follow detailed schematics and technical manuals for electrical work or mechanical repairs to ensure accurate troubleshooting.
- Lead or support maintenance operations with a focus on safety compliance, quality standards, and timely completion of tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff and communicating clearly about repair status or delays.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building repair roles with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, mechanical repairs, or carpentry.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical equipment repair, and HVAC system troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in maintenance painting and carpentry enhances your ability to perform diverse tasks effectively.
- Strong understanding of facilities equipment maintenance including MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) procedures.
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred; ability to lead small teams or coordinate multiple projects efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective collaboration with team members.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and diagrams accurately for electrical work or mechanical repairs.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship is essential for success in this role.
