Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Virtual Vestibular Physical Therapist to join our innovative healthcare team. In this role, you will deliver expert vestibular rehabilitation services remotely, helping patients manage dizziness, balance disorders, and vertigo through personalized care plans. Your expertise will support diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those recovering from acute or chronic conditions. This position offers the opportunity to work flexibly from home while making a meaningful impact on patients’ quality of life. You will utilize your extensive physiotherapy knowledge, including physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, to guide patients through effective treatment strategies tailored to their unique needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments of patients experiencing vestibular issues, utilizing telehealth platforms to evaluate symptoms and functional limitations
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate evidence-based vestibular rehabilitation techniques and trigger point therapy when appropriate
- Educate patients on their condition, treatment exercises, and home care strategies to promote recovery and prevent recurrence
- Coordinate discharge planning with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless transitions across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and community care settings
- Monitor patient progress regularly through virtual follow-ups, adjusting care plans as needed to optimize outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including detailed notes on assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy practices related to orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and hospital-based care
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a licensed physical therapist with experience in vestibular rehabilitation or related fields
- Demonstrated expertise in discharge planning, care plans development, and patient care management across diverse settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, home health environments, and community programs
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to vestibular function and balance disorders
- Proficiency with EMR systems for documentation and communication purposes
- Experience working with acute care patients in hospital or inpatient settings is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medical terminology and physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and orthopedics
- Background in pediatrics, geriatrics, or outpatient clinics is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
