Vision Plastics is the Northwest’s leader in custom injection molding, and we’re looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Mold Setter to help fuel our production team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for setting up molds, preparing machines, and ensuring equipment and processes run safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do
- Set up and remove molds and auxiliary equipment, ensuring workstations are safe, tidy, and organized.
- Enter and adjust molding parameters, including temperature settings, to meet production needs.
- Verify proper materials, drying times, and contamination-free processes.
- Install and adjust robot end-of-arm tooling to ensure parts are properly removed from presses.
- Perform preventative maintenance on molds, presses, and equipment.
- Keep accurate documentation of process parameters and communicate effectively with technicians and supervisors.
- Suggest and support improvements to processes, safety, and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and stand for long periods.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to continuously learn in a changing environment.
- Ability to achieve forklift, pallet jack, crane, and other certifications.
- Previous injection molding or plastics manufacturing experience preferred.

Hands-On Training for a Skilled Career
At Vision Plastics, we believe skilled technicians are developed through strong training, mentorship, and experience. Our Mold Setter Technician role includes a structured training program lasting approximately six months, combining hands-on shop training with classroom-style instruction alongside experienced technicians. After completing the program, you’ll have opportunities to advance through additional technician levels and participate in both internal and external technical training.
