Part-Time Certified Personal Trainer - SoFit Personal Training | Orlando, FL
Pay: $25.50–$35.00/hour, based on experience. Hours: 15–30 hours/week, part-time. Location: On-site, Downtown Orlando/ College Park, Orlando. Schedule: Early mornings (6:00 AM starts) and evenings availability for both is required
Why this role is different
Most trainer jobs hand you a floor shift and a sales quota. This one hands you clients who already want to be there.
SoFit has been coaching busy professionals in Orlando for over seven years across two studios, with 180+ five-star reviews. Our clients aren't looking for a bootcamp; they're looking for someone who will actually help them stay consistent. If you like building real relationships with people over months and years instead of churning through sessions, you'll do well here.
We also pay for retention. Your rate increases as your clients stick with you; the better you coach, the more you earn.
What your week actually looks like:
- Train clients one-on-one. 45–60-minute sessions, mostly in early-morning and evening blocks.
- Build the programs. You design each client's plan around their goals, schedule, and real life, then track progress so that results are measurable.
- Onboard new clients. You run the first session: goals, expectations, and a plan they can follow from day one.
- Stay in their corner between sessions. Check-ins, accountability, and follow-up are part of the job here, not an afterthought.
- Deliver Results to the client using our programs and training process.
- Keep clients accountable through weekly check-ins and updates.
What we're looking for
Required
- Nationally accredited personal training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, or equivalent)
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
- 1+ year delivering one-on-one training sessions
- Availability for both early morning (6:00 AM) and evening sessions
- Reliable transportation to Downtown Orlando
- Able to lift 50 lbs and stay physically active throughout sessions
Nice to have
- Experience with functional movement or heart-rate-based programming
- Working knowledge of nutrition fundamentals
- Prior experience in a studio or boutique setting rather than a big-box gym
Who tends to thrive here
- You follow through. Clients notice when you remember what they said last week.
- You're comfortable being direct with people about what's actually going to work.
- You want to get better at this, not just clock hours.
- You're steady. Consistency beats intensity, with clients and with teammates.
Compensation & benefits
- $25.50–$35.00 per hour, based on experience
- Pay increases tied to client retention milestones; your rate grows as your clients stay
- Complimentary studio access for your own training
- Professional development assistance toward continuing education and certifications
- Flexible scheduling built around your availability and client demand
- A small, collaborative team that actually communicates
Hiring process
Here's exactly what to expect:
- Phone screen (10 minutes) - usually within 1-5 days of applying
- In-person interview at the studio (30 minutes)
- Paid working session (60 minutes, compensated) - you run a real session so we can see how you coach
