Job Description
The Elections Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering critical election functions to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and legal compliance of voter registration and election processes. This position oversees activities related to maintaining accurate and current voter registration rolls, administering the provisional voting process, coordinating voter registration challenges, and managing election-related projects and initiatives. The Elections Coordinator conducts detailed research and analysis of voter records, interprets and applies federal and state election laws, and collaborates with internal staff, governmental agencies, and the public to ensure election operations are carried out efficiently, transparently, and in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and established procedures.
Essential Duties-
Analyzing voter registration data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement while ensuring compliance with applicable election laws and regulations.

Processing, updating, and maintaining voter registration records within the Georgia Voter Registration System (GA VOTES) to ensure accurate and current voter information.

Coordinating the research, review, and resolution of voter registration challenges in accordance with federal, state, and local election laws and established procedures.

Monitoring operational goals, performance measures, and key metrics for assigned staff and programs to ensure departmental objectives are achieved.

Providing leadership, guidance, and support to staff by assigning work, monitoring performance, and promoting a culture of accountability and customer service.

Developing, implementing, and maintaining procedures, work instructions, and operational guidelines to support efficient and consistent election administration processes.

Overseeing voter registration mass mailing initiatives, including planning, vendor coordination, quality control, tracking, and completion of mailing projects.

Preparing, reviewing, and responding to voter correspondence, inquiries, complaints, and requests for information in a timely and professional manner.

Supervising lower-level staff, conducting employee performance evaluations, providing coaching and feedback, identifying training needs, and supporting staff development and succession planning efforts.
Grade
The grade for this position is 103. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications-
Bachelor's degree AND
-
Three years of elections experience related to area of assignment

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.

Valid Driver's License

VRAG and GEOA Certificate must be obtained within one year and must be maintained

Must be a U.S citizen
