Overview
CDL-A OPERATORS
If you have a CDL-A and know how to use it, we'd like to talk to you.
Transport, equipment hauling, Landoll, lowboy, tractor-trailer, heavy towing or recovery experience is a plus.
We're looking for drivers who understand that being a professional driver means more than holding a CDL.
Know your equipment. Inspect it. Secure your load. Follow DOT regulations. Communicate. Take pride in the truck you're driving and bring it back in at least as good as you found it.
HERE'S WHAT WE DON'T REQUIRE:
You don't have to be perfect.
You don't have to know everything.
You don't have to have 30 years of experience.
You DO need to be dependable.
You DO need to communicate.
You DO need to care about doing the job right.
And when you don't know something, just say you don't know.
We can teach someone who doesn't know.
It's a lot harder to teach someone who already knows everything.
WHAT'S IT LIKE WORKING IN TOWING?
You'll eventually know every decent bathroom in a 50-mile radius.
You'll develop very strong opinions about ratchet straps.
You'll start looking at badly parked cars and automatically figuring out how you'd hook them.
You'll hear, "It just stopped running," while looking at an engine that clearly tried to leave the vehicle.
You'll meet some genuinely great customers.
You'll meet some interesting ones too.
And sooner or later, somebody is going to tell you, "Google Maps told me to go this way," while you're standing there looking at their car somewhere no car has any business being.
That's the job.
But if you like trucks, don't want to stare at the same four walls every day, enjoy figuring things out and take pride in helping people when they're having a bad day, towing can be one hell of a career.
Cruise Control is growing, and we're looking for people who want to grow with us.
If you're looking for a place where you can work, learn, make money and become part of a team, let's talk.
If you're looking for somewhere that won't notice when you don't show up for three days...
We're probably not the place.
