Description:
The Maintenance Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance activities within our facilities. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a team of up to 30, with the support of a Maintenance Lead to facilitate daily tasks. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and motivate a team of maintenance technicians to ensure optimal performance and productivity.

Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to foster skill development and career growth.

Responsible for executing the published maintenance schedule and identifying appropriate actions for scheduled maintenance misses.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.

Oversee and coordinate all preventive maintenance (PM) activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.

Collaborate with the maintenance planner to schedule maintenance tasks effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.

Participate in creating and recommending improvements for equipment maintenance plans to optimize equipment performance and longevity.

Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all maintenance personnel.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing maintenance operations.

Act as a point of contact for resolving technical issues and troubleshooting equipment failures.

Implement corrective actions to address root causes of equipment malfunctions and prevent recurrence.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Foster open communication and collaboration with other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and support production goals.

Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized maintenance tasks or equipment repairs.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and accurate min/max inventory levels alongside relevant team members.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Associate degree or equivalent experience in mechanical field, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop a diverse team.

Strong technical knowledge of maintenance principles, practices, and equipment systems.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on root cause analysis.

Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (eMaint) preferred.

Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols, with a commitment to promoting a culture of safety.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
