Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fast casual or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality
- Participate in catering events as required
Skills
- Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within the food industry or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Experience with meal preparation, including dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with menu planning and catering services is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
