Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, gel manicures, pedicures, acrylic and nail extensions, and nail art designs.
- Apply and maintain nail enhancements using techniques such as acrylic application and gel curing.
- Conduct thorough sanitation and disinfection procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff.
- Provide personalized client consultations to recommend suitable nail treatments and color choices based on individual preferences and skin tones.
- Educate clients on proper nail care routines and maintenance tips to promote healthy nails.
- Upsell retail products such as nail polishes, treatments, and tools to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment in accordance with salon safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are met while fostering a positive experience that encourages repeat visits.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Nail Technician or in the beauty industry with strong knowledge of manicure, pedicure, gel nails, acrylics, and nail extensions.
- Certification or licensing in cosmetology or esthetician practices as required by local regulations.
- Solid understanding of sanitation procedures, disinfection protocols, and salon safety standards.
- Knowledge of color theory for creating appealing nail art designs and custom color blends.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients.
- Familiarity with retail sales techniques including upselling products related to nail care and beauty treatments.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Additional skills such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling or laser treatments are a plus but not required.
