Join our vibrant after-school program team as a Grades 2-3 After School Program Teacher! Duties
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating literacy, math, science, arts, and physical education activities.
- Incorporate daily prayer and scripture for the week for students’ spiritual growth and positive character building.
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful environment.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, school staff, and parents to support student success and address individual learning needs through clear communication.
- Incorporate educational technology tools and learning technology platforms to enhance instruction and engagement.
- Support children with autism or other developmental differences by applying specialized teaching strategies and early intervention techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance data, attendance, and behavioral notes in compliance with educational regulations.
Skills
- Experience working with elementary school students, preferred, but not required .
- A sense of understanding of childhood development principles.
- Willing to support daily prayer and weekly scripture and incorporate in daily lessons when feasible.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and team collaboration.
- Knowlege of using educational technology tools for lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Classroom management abilities to foster a positive learning environment while addressing behavioral challenges.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated mentoring skills to support the growth of young learners through tutoring and individualized support.
