As the Engineering Director, Utilities & Electrical for our premier healthcare client account, you will provide strategic direction and executive leadership for the campus's entire utility generation, distribution, and electrical infrastructure. This critical senior leadership role oversees high-voltage electrical distribution networks, emergency standby power systems, utility procurement, and energy management strategies to guarantee 100% operational resilience for critical care environments.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Direct the testing, maintenance, and compliance of emergency generator systems, automatic transfer switches (ATS), substations, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) configurations.
Ensure continuous readiness for all regulatory audits, maintaining strict compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, NFPA 70E, NFPA 99, NFPA 110, and local electrical codes.
Active professional license or certification, such as a Professional Engineer (PE) license, Master Electrician license, or equivalent high-level engineering credential.
Comprehensive expertise in medium-to-low voltage electrical distribution, utility plant operations, automatic transfer switchgear, and emergency backup generator systems.
Proven mastery of healthcare regulatory standards, including Joint Commission Environment of Care, NFPA 99, NFPA 110, and NFPA 70E.
Outstanding leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with a track record of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical healthcare executives.
