Hubber – Manufacturing
Chicago Blower Corporation is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Hubber to join our manufacturing team. This position plays an important role in production by installing hubs into industrial fan wheels, handling materials, maintaining inventory, and keeping work moving safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Assemble and install hubs into wheels
- Operate basic fabrication and assembly equipment
- Read blueprints and take accurate measurements
- Move materials and finished work using a hand truck or chain hoist
- Pull parts from the department and stockroom
- Follow computerized dispatch lists and issue inventory
- Maintain accurate department inventory
- Keep the work area and material storage areas clean, safe, and organized
- Assist with other production duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints and measurements on a ruler
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and speak English
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Dependable and able to follow instructions independently
Pay: From $21.77 per hour
