American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a Dedicated Education Unit at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.

Work on a 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (9CD) caring for mixed Med/Surg patients — travel nurses will be providing patient care, not teaching or educating

Patient-to-nurse ratio of 5–6:1

Day shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week

4 weekend shifts required per month

Block scheduling is not approved for this unit

No on-call requirements

Active GA or Compact RN license required

Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large, high-volume hospital required

Demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity, fast-paced, and complex patient cases

Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center known for complex, diverse, and high-volume cases
