D1 Training Macon is seeking an Assistant Director of Sports Performance to join our leadership team.
This position is designed for a coach who is passionate about athlete development, takes pride in delivering elite training sessions, and is looking to grow into a leadership role within the sports performance industry.
As the Assistant Director, you'll work directly alongside the Director of Strength and Conditioning as well as management to help lead our coaching department while developing your own coaching, leadership, and operational skills. What You'll Do
As Assistant Director of Sports Performance, you'll play an integral role in the success of our athletes, coaching staff, and facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Coach up to 35 training sessions per week
- Deliver high-energy, technically sound training sessions for athletes and adults of all ages
- Build relationships with athletes and families while creating an exceptional member experience
- Assist with athlete evaluations and programming implementation
- Help onboard, mentor, and develop coaching staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment
- Assist with camps, combines, clinics, and community events
- Support the day-to-day operations of the coaching department
- Uphold the culture, professionalism, and standards of D1 Training

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- CPR/AED Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred
- Experience coaching in collegiate athletics, private sports performance, or a similar high-performance environment
- Nationally recognized certification (CSCS, SCCC, NASM, ISSA, ACSM, ACE, or equivalent)
Compensation & Benefits
- $22/Hr
- Full-time W-2 position
- Includes coaching up to 35 sessions per week
- 3% uncapped commission on personally sold one-on-one training packages

Schedule
This is a full-time leadership position requiring flexibility.
Candidates should be available to work:
- Early mornings
- Afternoons
- Evenings
- Saturday Mornings/Early Afternoons
- Camps, clinics, and special events as needed
