We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a hospital-based rehabilitation team. This role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, working under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provide care in both inpatient settings (including post-surgical, medical-surgical, and step-down units) and outpatient rehabilitation clinics.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercise programs, gait training, mobility activities, transfer training, and use of assistive devices.
- Observe, document, and report patient responses, progress, and tolerance to treatments.
- Communicate any changes in patient condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, Medicare).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support coordinated patient care.
- Ensure safe and effective treatment environments for all patients.
Qualifications
Required

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow clinical direction and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
-
Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient rehabilitation settings.
- Familiarity with hospital-based documentation systems and EMR platforms.
