Job Summary
Diamond Cargo Express is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Customs & Transportation Coordinator to join our operations team.
This position plays a critical role in coordinating U.S. Customs bonded freight while also managing transportation scheduling for our tractor fleet. Every day is different, and success in this role comes from staying organized, communicating effectively, and solving problems before they become customer issues.

Position Overview
This position combines two essential operational functions that work together throughout the day.
Customs & Bonded Freight Operations
- Process and manage paperwork for U.S. Customs bonded freight shipments.
- Coordinate communication between customs brokers, master consolidators, customers, and internal operations.
- Monitor shipment status and ensure all required customs documentation is complete.
- Obtain customs freight release authorizations.
- Maintain accurate records and shipment documentation.
- Resolve paperwork discrepancies and communicate with all parties to keep freight moving efficiently.
Transportation Operations
- Schedule and coordinate daily routing for Diamond Cargo Express's tractor fleet.
- Contact freight brokers regarding available freight opportunities.
- Negotiate transportation rates and secure profitable loads.
- Review and accept rate confirmations.
- Coordinate driver schedules and equipment assignments.
- Schedule customs-released freight for transportation as soon as clearance has been obtained.
- Maintain communication with drivers, brokers, customers, and internal operations throughout the transportation process.

Preferred Experience
- Transportation or logistics experience.
- Freight brokerage or dispatch experience.
- Customs, import/export, or bonded freight experience.
- Experience negotiating transportation rates.
- Experience working with transportation management software.

- All major holidays the company is closed (after 90 days if the holiday is on a regular business working day, you will be paid 8 hours for the day we're closed)
