Occupational Therapists are responsible for providing conducting skilled evaluations for our patients and implement a plan of treatment to facilitate increased independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients' physical and mental conditions to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their needs.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement therapeutic activities to improve patients' ability to perform daily living tasks, such as dressing, bathing, and mobility.
- Adaptive Equipment: Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment (e.g., walkers, wheelchairs) and suggest modifications to their home environment to enhance safety and accessibility.
- Family Education: Instruct family members and caregivers on how to support the patient's rehabilitation process and manage challenges effectively.
- Progress Documentation: Regularly document patient progress and communicate updates to the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
- Reassessment: Continuously reassess patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and enhance quality of life.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must be licensed in the state of Illinois
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred
- Minimum of one year of home health experience is preferred
- Current CPR card
- Have reliable transportation
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
