Book underneath our MC with your truck, make your own hours, your own routes and your own home time. Your dedication to safety, compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, and excellent driving skills will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of cargo handling and customer service. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and roll-off trucks across assigned routes
- Load and unload freight with precision, adhering to logistics cargo handling protocols and safety standards
- Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to optimize delivery routes and meet deadlines
- Comply fully with DOT (Department of Transportation), FMCSA, hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous goods handling procedures
- Transport various types of freight such as dangerous goods, automobile transportation, or specialty cargo requiring manual handling or forklift assistance
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all regulations
- Manage delivery documentation accurately and communicate proactively with dispatch for route adjustments or issues
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving
- Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or similar equipment
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods
- Hands-on experience with truck loading/unloading procedures including forklift operation where applicable.
- Strong navigation skills using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes
- Prior experience in logistics cargo handling and delivery driver roles preferred
