Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Live-In Caregiver free boarding free food to provide compassionate, personalized care to individuals in a home setting. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques.
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation.
- Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease through specialized memory care strategies and engagement activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
- Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings and support social interaction to promote mental well-being.
- Document patient progress, update care plans regularly, and coordinate with healthcare providers for comprehensive home health or hospice care services.
- Utilize patient observation skills to detect early signs of illness or distress and respond appropriately in emergency situations through first aid or CPR when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments with a focus on geriatrics and long-term care.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, autism support, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities support, neurodevelopmental disorders, and behavioral management techniques.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring tools such as vital signs measurement devices and Hoyer lifts for resident transfers.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently while managing heavy lifting requirements when assisting clients.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction, family updates, and collaboration with healthcare teams; understanding of HIPAA privacy standards is essential.
- Experience assisting with ADLs including personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility support.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety procedures in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Competence in first aid procedures and CPR certification to handle emergency situations confidently.
- Ability to work independently in a home setting while maintaining professionalism and empathy at all times.
- Experience working with individuals who have neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities is highly valued for providing tailored support that enhances quality of life.
Pay: $175.00 - $200.00 per day
