Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide high-quality care in an outpatient psychiatric and addiction medicine private practice. This role is ideal for a clinician passionate about integrated care, evidence-based treatments, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and addiction medicine assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with mental health and substance use disorders.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) for addiction.
- Provide counseling, education, and resources to patients and their families to support recovery and mental wellness.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with legal and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid licensure as a PA or NP in SC.
- Current DEA license in SC
- Certification in Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine is a plus but not required.
- DEA X-waiver (or willingness to obtain) for prescribing buprenorphine for opioid use disorder.
- Experience in mental health and/or addiction medicine preferred but new graduates with a strong interest in this field are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
