Responsibilities
- Carefully disassemble headlights using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, ensuring all components are removed without damage.
- Reassemble parts accurately following technical specifications, auto repair standards, and safety guidelines.
- Utilize plastic welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify parts as needed for headlight restoration.
- Conduct detailed inspections of disassembled components for wear, damage, or corrosion; document findings thoroughly.
- Operate airless paint sprayers and other finishing tools to restore appearance and protect surfaces during reassembly processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols; handle heavy lifting safely during component removal and installation.
Experience
- Previous dealership experience or hands-on automotive repair background is highly preferred.
- Skilled in MIG welding, fabrication, auto body repair, auto painting, and auto restoration techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and sheet metal working tools.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures including auto glass installation and auto estimating is a plus.
- Experience working with automotive components such as sheet metal parts, auto glass, and auto body panels.
- Knowledge of automotive repair standards and safety regulations.
- Customer service skills are beneficial for communicating effectively with team members and supporting quality work delivery.
