Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sauté station, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish execution and ingredient needs
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illnesses
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate supply needs promptly
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of sautéed items while maintaining quality control
Experience
- Prior experience working in a culinary environment, preferably within a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques specific to sautéing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with specialized dietary needs
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to foster collaboration among kitchen staff
