Job Overview
Mandell’s Clinical Pharmacy is seeking an experienced IT Production Systems Manager to maintain and support the technology systems that drive our pharmacy operations.
This position is responsible for production applications, system interfaces, automated processes, incident management, testing, system changes, clean-room technology controls, and related compliance documentation. The position will also perform designated office-management duties and serve as the backup to the IT Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support pharmacy applications, interfaces, automated processes, reporting systems, and other business-critical technology.
- Investigate application errors, system failures, data exceptions, and workflow interruptions.
- Coordinate incident resolution, system testing, upgrades, releases, vendor support, and employee training.
- Maintain application documentation, downtime procedures, recovery plans, system records, and escalation contacts.
- Support clean-room technology, including environmental monitoring systems, alarms, sensors, access controls, electronic records, calibration, maintenance, and inspection documentation.
- Promptly escalate environmental excursions, equipment failures, or suspected compliance concerns to the Pharmacist-in-Charge or designated compounding leadership.
- Coordinate office equipment, supplies, facility requests, repairs, maintenance, building access, and vendor visits.
- Maintain sufficient cross-training to cover essential IT Operations Manager duties during planned or unplanned absences.
- Protect confidential patient, employee, prescriber, and company information and comply with HIPAA and company security requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, healthcare technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Three to five years of experience supporting production applications, business systems, healthcare technology, software implementations, or IT operations.
- Experience with incident management, system testing, change management, application support, documentation, and vendor coordination.
- Working knowledge of environmental monitoring or clean-room technology is preferred.
- Strong technical troubleshooting, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Pharmacy, healthcare, clean-room, or other regulated-environment experience is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
- Vendor management experience coupled with a solid understanding of IT asset management principles.
- ITIL, PMP, CAPM, CompTIA, Microsoft, Agile/Scrum, or related certifications are a plus.
This is a full-time, on-site position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Weekend availability occasionally required.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
