Assembler I – 1st & 2nd Shift
Location: Dexter, MI
Shift:
1st shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday
2nd shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $18.50 - 20.00/hour ($1.50 shift differential for 2nd shift)
Training: Required on 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM) for approximately two weeks
Job Summary
We are seeking detail-oriented Assemblers to join a manufacturing team producing high-quality mechanical and electronic components. This position is ideal for individuals with excellent hand dexterity, strong attention to detail, and experience with artistic or precision handwork. Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assemble small mechanical and electronic components following work instructions and visual aids.
- Read and interpret diagrams, layouts, schematics, and written assembly instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and other assembly equipment safely and accurately.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process.
- Rework, modify, and test assemblies when required.
- Maintain production standards while ensuring product quality.
- Report equipment issues or production abnormalities to supervisors.
- Support packaging, inventory, shipping, or receiving activities as needed.
- Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
Requirements
- Background in traditional art, including drawing, painting, and/or sculpting.
- Excellent hand dexterity and ability to work with small, detailed parts.
- Ability to read and write legibly.
- Strong attention to detail and manual precision.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (THC not included).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3 years of medical device manufacturing experience.
- Clean room manufacturing experience.
- Technical writing or documentation experience.
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience.
Additional Information
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Immediate openings available.
- Two weeks of paid training on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift.
