Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grain Supervisor to lead and oversee daily operations within our grain handling and processing facilities. This pivotal role involves managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of grain products while ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. As a Grain Supervisor, you will coordinate with team members across various departments, operate heavy equipment, and uphold best practices in agriculture, food processing, and manufacturing environments. Duties
- Supervise daily grain handling activities, including loading, unloading, and storage operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Operate and oversee the use of heavy equipment such as forklifts, tankers, and other machinery essential for grain movement and processing.
- Maintain safety protocols by conducting regular inspections of equipment and work areas; enforce compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with farming, agriculture, and food production teams to optimize inventory management and quality control.
- Monitor equipment performance; perform basic mechanical troubleshooting or coordinate repairs with maintenance teams.
- Ensure accurate documentation of grain volumes, shipments, and inventory records for traceability and reporting purposes.
- Support food processing activities by adhering to hygiene standards and quality assurance procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or food processing environments with familiarity in grain handling or related industries.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
- Valid forklift certification; experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse or farm setting preferred.
- Experience working with farming or agricultural operations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations; experience operating tankers or similar vehicles is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety standards specific to food production, grain storage facilities, or heavy equipment operation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $46,563.26 - $56,076.18 per year
