Job Summary:
CDL Tack Truck Driver / Sweeper Truck Driver - punctual, reliable, safety-conscious, and team player. This position involves hauling/transporting various materials and heavy equipment to and from job sites. In addition, this position will assist the paving and excavation crews with loading/unloading materials and equipment, and other tasks assigned by management to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe company operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate vehicles such as a tack truck, sweeper truck, and triaxle dump truck and at times with equipment trailers.
- Safely apply tack coat uniformly to roadways, parking lots, and other surfaces according to project specifications
- Hauling materials to and from job sites (tack, asphalt, millings, stone, dirt, misc. debris, etc.)
- Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and materials.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report and document maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery records.
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations.
- Communicate with the superintendent, foremen, project managers, and crews regarding hauling, transportation, and location.
- Other tasks assigned by management to assist company operations with site prep, traffic control, cleaning, or other duties as needed when not operating a dump truck.
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Tanker Endorsement (N) Required
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement (N) with a safe and clean driving record for two years.
- DOT, OSHA, and Safety Regulations and Compliance knowledge.
- Able to physically complete tasks to complete or assist with filling, cleaning, loading, tarping, chaining vehicles and equipment, and laborer duties on site or off site.
- Team-oriented attitude with a strong ability to communicate.
- Able to work flexible schedules and required overtime.
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions (heat, wet, cold, etc.)
- Required and must pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
- Required to complete background checks.
