Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting patients' health needs in various settings, including home care, internal medicine, and ICU environments. Your expertise in specimen collection processing and medical imaging will be essential in delivering comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform routine patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Assist with specimen collection processing and ensure proper handling.
- Provide care for patients requiring neonatal ventilator support.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including ICD-10 coding for diagnoses.
- Conduct procedures such as spinal taps when necessary.
- Support travel nursing assignments as needed to meet patient care demands.
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Knowledge of physiology and internal medicine principles.
- Experience in ICU settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
- Previous experience in home care or travel nursing is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
