Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Support meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage practices
- Assist with food plating and presentation to ensure visually appealing dishes
- Follow all food safety protocols to uphold hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or issues
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours and special catering events
Requirements
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as restaurant, catering, or dietary department is preferred
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking methods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
