American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring PICC line management experience and an active IL RN license.

23-bed Medical Surgical unit within a 562-bed Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, starting at 18:45
-
Every other weekend is required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating within scope is required, including to nearby affiliate hospitals

Block scheduling available — connect with the manager to discuss

Cerner used for charting (experience preferred)

Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction

Active IL RN license required; candidates actively in the application process with an ETA will also be considered

Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required; AHA and Red Cross cards accepted (RQI AHA cards not accepted)

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

PICC line management and IV start experience required

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Previous charge nurse experience preferred

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler

Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

RTO of 5 days or fewer is ideal; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval

Travel pairs are not accepted

Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
