AS9100 Certified Machine Shop seeks CNC Programmer. Program Dual Spindle Lathes and Lathes with Live Tooling along with 3- 4- and 5- Axis Haas and Fadal Mills to a produce a variety of simple and complexed components using Mastercam. Translate engineering blueprints and 3D Models into CAM programs by determining the most efficient machining sequences, optimize cutting speeds, appropriate tooling and troubleshoot production issues to ensure components meet rigorous quality standards. Create programs, tool sheets and set-up layout drawings. Provide material requirements, order tools and Kit complete jobs in preparation for production.
Work in partnership with CNC Set-Up machinists and operators to increase program performance and provide program guidance and revisions for program optimization and efficiency. Troubleshoot as necessary.
Maintain program library ensuring clean documentation of all updated configurations by part number and revision.
Serve as backup CNC Set-up Machinist for a number of CNC Machines. Select appropriate tooling. Make required necessary adjustments and offsets. Ensure machining is completed per print. Oversee and guide machine operators. Inspect parts per print utilizing hand tools and optical measuring equipment. Complete FAI and ensure parts are running smoothly and efficiently. Plan machines for future jobs.
Minimum of 5 years in CNC Programming. 3-5 years in practical CNC Machining and and Machine Set-up. Ability to trouble shoot and solve subtle manufacturing anomalies under tight, real-time deadlines.
