Duties
- Develop and nurture client relationships through proactive communication, negotiation, and personalized service to secure event bookings.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, budget, and requirements, then craft tailored event proposals that showcase your creativity and expertise.
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning including venue setup, catering (including banquet and restaurant experience), décor, entertainment, and technical needs.
- Manage contracts, budgets, and timelines meticulously to ensure seamless execution from initial booking through post-event follow-up.
- Upsell additional services such as premium catering options, décor enhancements, or special amenities to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Oversee event marketing efforts by promoting upcoming events through various channels to attract attendees and boost attendance.
- Provide exceptional guest services during events by ensuring smooth operations, addressing any issues promptly, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Experience
- Proven experience in event planning or management within hospitality settings such as hotels, restaurants, or banquet facilities.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Familiarity with event marketing strategies and upselling techniques to enhance revenue streams.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
- Background in customer service or guest relations within hospitality environments such as hotels or fundraising events.
- Knowledge of contracts, catering logistics, and banquet operations is highly desirable.
- Effective communication skills combined with time management abilities to coordinate teams and ensure flawless event execution.
