Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist with a background experience in Closed-door, Specialty-Pharmacy setting. This role will ensure the safe and effective use of medications, providing patient assessments to comply with accreditation and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
- Review and interpret physician orders
- Prepare, dispense and assist administration of medications
- Conduct patient assessments
- Provide and document patient education
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Manage and purchase inventory effectively to ensure the availability of medications.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA, BOP, DEA, ACHC Accreditation
- Assist to administer injections as required.
- Utilize pharmacy software (PioneerRx) efficient workflow management.
- Stay updated best practices in specialty pharmacy
Skills
- 2 year experience in specialty-pharmacy and retail-pharmacy required.
- ACHC accreditation experience highly preferred
- Completion of a pharmacy residency required
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers required
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques including specialty injectables
- Knowledge of HIV, HIV Prep, Auto-immune disorders preferred
- Familiar with inventory management practices in a pharmacy

Pay: From $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
