Back 9 PT & Performance is a growing, out-of-network, cash-pay physical therapy and performance clinic embedded inside a fully-equipped gym in Cambridge, MA. We serve a high-caliber clientele — biotech professionals, university faculty, runners, golfers, lifters, and weekend warriors — who want more than pain relief. They want to perform.
We operate completely outside the insurance model: no double-booking, no cookie-cutter treatment plans, no 15-minute appointments. Just exceptional 1-on-1 care with the time and tools to actually do your best work

Why This Role Is Different

What You'll Do
- Deliver personalized, goal-driven physical therapy and performance sessions
- Work with high-performing individuals who bring great compliance and accountability
- Educate and empower clients to take ownership of their recovery and lifestyle
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in our EMR (Jane App)
- Assist with scheduling/billing
- Contribute to practice growth through community engagement, injury screens, workshops, and phone consultations
What We're Looking For
Required:
- DPT from an accredited program; current Massachusetts PT license in good standing
- 1-2 years of experience working in a sports performance/ortho setting
- Active Professional Liability insurance
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Strong strength and conditioning background; confident manual skills
- Clinically confident, personally driven, and a team player who wants to be part of something building
Preferred:
- Dry needling certification (or genuine commitment to obtaining it quickly)
- CSCS, TPI certification, or experience with runners, and golfers
Compensation
$50–60/hr, commensurate with experience.
