Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of hospital operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and patient care
- Manage financial activities such as budgeting, fiscal management, billing, and revenue cycle processes using systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or Epic
- Supervise medical administrative support staff, including receptionists and medical records personnel, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
- Coordinate human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development to build a cohesive team
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
- Monitor clinic performance metrics related to acute care, critical care, managed care, utilization management, and JCAHO standards to uphold quality assurance
- Facilitate communication between veterinary professionals, clients, and external partners to promote excellent service delivery
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management within a healthcare or veterinary setting with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong background in fiscal management, budgeting, and financial oversight in a clinical environment
- Familiarity with veterinary hospital systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or Epic; experience with EMR/EHR systems is essential
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations including JCAHO standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising teams within fast-paced clinical settings involving acute or critical care experience
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dental or veterinary clinic environment
- Experience with human resources functions including staff training and development in healthcare management
