Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools safely and efficiently
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and identifying tree species for proper health management
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues with sprinkler systems
- Assist with landscape construction projects involving hardscape installation, excavation with equipment like excavators, and site preparation
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to protect plants and maintain pest-free landscapes
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment
- Experience with landscape maintenance OR Arbor practices such as mowing, edging, planting, pruning, climbing, tree cutting, etc.
- Outdoor work experience demonstrating stamina, safety protocol adherence, and attention to detail in groundskeeping tasks
