We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Welder with or without experience in production welding, fabrication, and quality control. Adept at interpreting blueprints, executing precision welding techniques, and maintaining high standards of workmanship. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members and meet strict production deadlines while adhering to safety protocols. Dedicated to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, sketches, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Measure, mark, and scribe accurate dimensions and reference points for welding guides.
- Operate various hand tools and shop equipment, including grinders, band saws, and dual-action sanders, to prepare materials for welding.
- Execute the layout, fit-up, and assembly of weldments in alignment with engineering specifications.
- Utilize MIG welding techniques to join metals.
- Handle materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment to move and position items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of welding machines, workstations, and the overall work area to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot, improve processes, and maintain consistent quality standards.
- Ensure all welding work meets or exceeds quality and safety standards, performing inspections as needed.
Core Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in MIG welding techniques, with a focus on precision and consistency.
- Familiar with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong measurement skills with the ability to read tape measures and calipers to 1/16" or better.
- Practical experience operating hand tools, grinders, band saws, and welding equipment.
- Excellent understanding of material handling techniques using forklifts, cranes, and other lifting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality welds and final products.
- Committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Strong communication skills, able to work well with teams and leadership to meet production goals.
- Solid work ethic with excellent attendance and a positive, adaptable attitude.
Education & Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical education or apprenticeship in welding (1 year preferred but not required).
- Welding certifications (MIG/TIG/Stick) a plus, but not required.
Shift & Availability
- Available for 4-day workweek (10-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday) with occasional mandatory overtime.
Additional Information
- Familiar with basic welding safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Available for overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
