Duties
- Officiate youth flag football games by applying sports rules accurately and consistently to maintain fair play.
- Interpret game rules related to flag football, ensuring players adhere to safety protocols and sportsmanship standards.
- Manage player conduct during games, addressing conflicts promptly with effective communication skills.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring gameplay and responding swiftly to any injuries or emergencies.
- Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and spectators to promote a positive sporting environment.
Skills
- Previous sports officiating or coaching experience, especially in flag football, soccer, basketball or baseball, but is not a requirement as we will train the new hire.
- Strong knowledge of sports rules interpretation and player management in sports officiating roles.
- Experience working with children in a sports or recreational setting, demonstrating patience and excellent communication skills.
- Conflict management skills to handle disputes calmly and professionally on the field.
