About Us
Bold & Banter is a marketing agency specializing in commercial content, documentaries, podcasts, and brand storytelling. We're looking for a talented freelance videographer with a strong foundation in cinematography who takes pride in producing clean, professional footage.
This role is focused solely on capturing high-quality video. We are not looking for a video editor.
Responsibilities
- Film sit-down interviews, documentaries, podcasts, branded content, and commercial productions
- Set up cameras, lighting, and audio for professional productions
- Capture clean, broadcast-quality audio
- Balance lighting, exposure, white balance, and color temperature for accurate in-camera footage
- Select lenses and camera settings that create cinematic depth and composition
- Operate confidently in both controlled studio environments and on-location productions
- Safely transport, set up, and maintain production equipment
- Represent the agency professionally while working with clients and talent
Qualifications
We're looking for someone with experience in:
- Professional camera operation
- Three-point lighting and interview lighting
- Color temperature and white balance
- Audio recording and microphone placement
- Sit-down interview production
- Documentary filmmaking
- Commercial video production
- Camera composition and depth of field
- Working efficiently in both indoor and outdoor environments
Preferred Skills
Bonus points if you have experience with:
- Gimbal operation
- Multi-camera productions
- Wireless audio systems
- Podcast production
- Drone videography (FAA Part 107 preferred but not required)
- Monitoring exposure, skin tones, white balance, color temperature, and picture profiles to consistently capture polished footage in-camera
Portfolio
Please submit either:
- A portfolio website, or
- Links to projects you've worked on.
For each project, please tell us your role (videographer, camera operator, director of photography, etc.). If the project involved a production team, simply let us know what responsibilities you handled.
Equipment
Owning professional camera gear is a plus, but not required. Bold & Banter has cameras, lenses, lighting, audio equipment, and production gear available for many projects.
