Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Injection Mold Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team in a second shift position. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and consistent product quality. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines to produce plastic parts according to specifications
- Conduct routine inspections of molds and machinery to identify and troubleshoot issues promptly
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet quality standards
- Maintain accurate production records, including cycle times, defect reports, and machine logs
- Assist in materials handling, including loading raw materials and removing finished products using forklifts or hand tools
- Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by adhering to lean manufacturing principles and suggesting process enhancements
Requirements
- Proven experience operating plastics injection molding machines or in a related manufacturing role
- Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments for quality inspection and assembly tasks
- Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts is preferred
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing practices and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment
