American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PACU position at a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center in Ohio, requiring ACLS, NIHSS, telemetry, and vent experience on night shifts.

Work setting is a PACU within a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center
-
Night shift schedule varying between five 8-hour shifts (11p–7a) and two 8-hour shifts (11p–7a) plus two 12-hour shifts (7p–7a) when covering weekends

Weekend and holiday coverage required for night shift

No on-call responsibilities at this time

Patient care involves telemetry monitoring and ventilator management

Active OH or Compact RN license required

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Level 1 Trauma experience required

Telemetry and ventilator experience required

Two professional references required: at least one must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

Former facility employees are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility

Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after booking — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt

Parking is available for agency staff near the medical center through a campus parking program at the candidate's own expense
