About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and engaging Chinese Teacher to teach in person at our learning center. This role is focused on instruction and student learning. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, able to create a positive classroom environment, and committed to supporting student progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach in-person Chinese classes using the center’s curriculum and instructional approach
- Deliver clear, engaging, and effective lessons for young learners
- Support student learning, participation, and classroom progress
- Maintain a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding student learning when needed
- Collaborate with the academic team to support strong instructional quality
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 5 years of teaching experience with elementary school-aged students
- Strong Chinese language teaching ability and classroom management skills
- Warm, patient, and able to build strong rapport with children
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with parents and colleagues
- Team-oriented, dependable, and professional
Schedule
Teachers should be available during the center’s teaching hours:
- Monday to Friday: 3:00 PM–6:00 PM PST
- Weekend: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM PST
Actual teaching schedule will be assigned based on class needs and availability.

Additional Requirement
Candidates should be able to reliably commute to or relocate to San Jose, CA 95129 before starting work.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
