POSITION SUMMARY
The primary function is maintaining and repairing the City’s fleet of vehicles and equipment. An employee in this class may be assigned to shift work during emergency situations, as required or as assigned by supervisory personnel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs high level maintenance and repair on all fleet vehicles, industrial equipment and other related equipment.

Troubleshoots and repairs sophisticated and technical emergency equipment associated with public safety, hydraulic leaks, A/C problems, emission related problems and components, etc.

Fabricates and welds both minor and major projects.

Maintains service records and logs for all parks vehicles, rides and equipment.

Maintains rides at Kiddieland Amusement Park/coordinates maintenance with vendors and contractors.

Assists other City Departments with fleet maintenance as time allows.

Follows City-wide safety policy and procedures and adheres to responsibilities concerning safety prevention, reporting and monitoring.
